Here’s a small sampling of my work over the years. If you like what you see—or want to see more—just let me know.

MetroNet

People have been let down and lied to by their cable providers for so long that they no longer believe anything they hear about a cable company being different. So let's embrace that disbelief. The world is full of exciting myths, mysteries, and legends. Bigfoot. Loch Ness. UFOs. And an ISP that actually treats its customers well? Unheard of and elusive...until now!

northwest community healthcare

Arms crossed, cold hard stare, and overuse of the word “relentless” - more and more healthcare networks are beginning to look alike. However, with a fresh voice, vibrant color palette, and absolutely no mention of “relentless”, Northwest Community Healthcare stands out in the crowded Chicago healthcare market.

Google Apps For Work

The world of small business is overflowing with captivating stories of unpredictable challenges and triumphs. Stories with a defining experience, a climax, a transformative point, an "And then" moment. Someone's telling a story and you're only half listening. Then they say something truly unexpected and you perk up and really pay attention. So why not lead with that?

The words "closed-end funds" and "retirement" don't exactly excite. But they should. So let's show people what their retirement could be if they invest through it instead of just saving for it. Take all those expected retirement activities and turn them on their heads. Have some fun and keep things aspirational yet attainable. We can't all win the lottery.

Sterling bay

An office is an office is an office, right? Wrong. From defrosting the cold storage building in Fulton Market and turning it into Google’s Midwest HQ, to creating a whole new neighborhood with Lincoln Yards, and reimagining the life sciences sector, Sterling Bay has, and continues to, boldly break new ground.

liftmaster

You know what you never think about? Your garage door opener. It's one of those things you just expect to open and close your garage door—until it breaks. But with a slew of advanced safety technology and a full-suite of smart home features, LiftMaster will make you rethink what a garage door opener is capable of. Running both B2B and B2C campaigns, LiftMaster has been shifting its brand from a utilitarian appliance maker to an up-and-coming tech powerhouse.

Sears

For five years, I worked in the Sears UX group. Got to dive deep into all things eComm/UX as well as promotions, brand showcases, creating a social network from scratch, and of course—ZOMBIES! We always joked that it was a $5 billion startup considering the leeway we were given to try new ideas to help revitalize a 100+-year-old company.

Fender Guitars

For those who play guitar, it's not a hobby—it's a way of life. So shouldn't the people building your guitar share the same passion? Fender thinks so. And does. Because choosing your guitar is about as an emotional decision as musicians can make. Scratch pads. Sketch books. That flow of consciousness scribblings that eventually turns into song lyrics. I wanted this to really strike a chord on how much creating a guitar can parallel creating a song.

Tapcon

Using Tapcon screws is a no-brainer. The brand is well-established and well-respected. So there's no need to write a tome about their accolades. Just do something that keeps the brand top of mind. We're talking to small construction crews that spend most of their time on the site or going on supply runs. And let's be honest, screws aren't exactly the most exciting part of the job. So if we can do something to make these guys smile when they see it, Tapcon is sure to stick with them.

one hit wonders

Sometimes you get a good idea, but it just doesn't have legs. And personally, I hate it when a good piece of work turns into a watered-down campaign. Sometimes, a solo shot is all you need. So to honor the art of the one-off, I give you some of my favorite standalone ads. Some are a bit old, but think it's fun to let them have their fifteen minutes—or something like that.
